Image to 3D
Gifsy's image to 3D model generator turns one photo into a textured mesh you can turn all the way round. The background comes off in your browser, our GPU builds the shape and paints it, and you download a GLB, plus an STL for 3D printing.
PNG, JPG or WebP with one clear subject. Pick Product or Character. The background is removed in your browser.
You see exactly what the GPU will get before you spend a credit. For a person or character, you can also pick a pose.
The GPU builds the shape and paints it from your photo. Download the GLB or STL, or paste one iframe into your site.
The model can only build what it can see clearly. A good photo matters more than anything you set later.
Files
GLB and STL
GLB with its texture for apps and engines; STL for printing.
Texture
Painted from your photo
All the way round, with the hidden side filled in to match.
Characters
Rigged
A skeleton fitted for posing and animation previews.
Time
4 to 10 min
Usually, from a photo, including the GPU starting up.
Pick Character and Gifsy offers a pose: keep the photo as it is, or have a T-pose or A-pose drawn from it first, free. A T-pose gives the cleanest rig, and it's what the walk and run previews look best on. Something held in the hands stays attached to that hand.
The face is rebuilt by the model, not pasted from your photo, so expect a likeness rather than a scan. More on characters
3D models need a real GPU, so this runs on our server. The background is removed in your browser first; only the cut-out is uploaded, and it's deleted once the model is made or the job fails. The model stays private in your account unless you turn on its embed. Privacy policy
A 3D model is a full mesh you can turn all the way round and use anywhere. If you only want your photo to move in depth on a website, keeping every pixel as it is, the 3D photo maker does that for free, in your browser.
Every account gets 2 free models. One model costs 1 credit, and a model that fails on our side refunds its credit automatically. After that, plans start at $9 a month for 10 models. See pricing
Yes, 2 times. Every account gets 2 free models, and each model after that costs 1 credit on a monthly plan. Removing the background and checking the cut-out cost nothing.
One photo only shows one side, so the back is the model's best guess, painted to match the front. A front view of something roughly symmetrical comes out best. A three-quarter view helps with depth.
Yes. Anything with one clear subject works: a product shot, a toy, a sketch, a character concept or an AI-made image. The cleaner the outline, the cleaner the model.
Usually 4 to 10 minutes from a photo, including the GPU starting up. At busy moments you wait in a queue and the page shows your place in it.
Yes. Every model comes with an STL next to the GLB, rebuilt as one solid, watertight piece, 10 cm on its longest side. STL holds shape only, so it prints in one colour.
